How to Control Stink Bug Infestations

Stink bugs have become a major pest in most US states and continue to expand their range. In addition to the unpleasant odor they release when squashed, stink bugs can cause damage to garden plants.

It is recommended that homeowners use other effective beetle killers outdoors to collapse existing populations and then use Bonide Stink Bug Traps to keep the population under control.

Bonide Stink Bug Traps can be placed outdoors, near where stink bugs may enter and indoors to capture foraging insects.

Bonide Stink Bug Traps Application Instructions

Fold the trap so the yellow, sticky side faces outward. Using one of the twist ties included in this package, or any other convenient means, hang the trap approximately 4 to 5 feet above the ground and at least 10 feet from your garden, fruit trees, backdoor, etc.  Remove the backing from the sticky side of the trap. Remove the lure from its pouch and place on the trap. When assembled, your trap should look like an open book.

Hang or attach the trap from any convenient spot. Once you catch several Stink Bugs they will produce enough aggregate pheromone to draw more. Our lure is a different pheromone so the combination of the two will produce a much stronger attraction. During the warm months the traps will also capture the Stink Bugs that have flown or crawled into the home.
